So it straightens your hair and cuts a quarter of an inch of at the same time too? Wouldn’t the split ends just come back since it’s a straightener and straighteners use heat?.. or does this one use heat at all?

Hi Fiery, I’m sorry that you are confuse between the Original Split-Ender vs the Counterfeits and Knock Offs of the product. Unfortunately those Counterfeits units are damaging the product reputation since they don’t work and are made of poor quality. Also most of those negative reviews are made by Hair Stylist that feel treated of loosing customers, again they are also confuse since you still need to visit your Hair Stylist to do your regular Hair Cut Style you want.

I bought it on eBay …
I bought it on eBay and it really works. I did one side of my head to compare. I have dark hair and my split ends are all over and the tips go lighter and frizzy. The side I did was a bit shorter, under 1cm but still noticeable so you have to be really careful and know where you have been and where you haven’t.Anyway, most of the split ends got cut off nicely and one side of my hair was smoother and even looked darker (a more even colour all over) with all the light dead bits gone
